Description
The consultancy in education statistics is part of the PESIDE project – Planning, statistics and information systems at the service of the development of education in Guinea-Bissau (FED/2020/421-524), implemented by the Fé e Cooperación Foundation (FEC) with European Union funding.
The PESIDE project aims to improve the performance of the services of the Ministry of Education of Guinea-Bissau (MENES), by improving the governance of the education data system, at central and regional levels. In this context, the consultancy to be carried out by IPPS aims to support the review and improvement of data collection mechanisms for statistical production, including governance mechanisms, namely the administrative procedures underlying the registration of basic information, the workflows and flowcharts associated with the registration and information collection system, identification of responsibilities at different levels of the system that allows the consolidation and generalization of the Education Information and Management System (SIGE) to all regions of Guinea-Bissau. It also aims to support the Office of Statistics, Planning and Evaluation of the Educational System (GEPASE) in the definition of statistical indicators and in the implementation of practices of analysis of educational statistical information.
